Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had modern-looking and nice rooms but with dirty towels and a very small size. The surrounding area was loud and dangerous, the staff was rude, the main door was damaged, and the A/C was not functional. The location is in a sketchy neighborhood, not recommended for solo females or those with children. However, it is near Joshua Tree NP, with a major boulevard nearby. The dining experience was below average.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. Although the location was where I wanted, close to stores, the room I initially got had issues with hot water and noise disturbances from outside. The service, except for the head of the maids, was pleasant and helpful despite some shortcomings. The dining experience left much to be desired with below-average offerings, but there were some positive and negative aspects in terms of facilities.
Upon arrival, I noticed a rank odor in the room, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the room was clean, had a mini refrigerator, and provided free Wi-Fi. The service was a mix of professional and pleasant interactions, but there were issues with the head of the housekeeping staff. The location was good for my needs in Bakersfield, although the surroundings were a bit rough. The dining options were subpar, with limited breakfast choices, resembling a gas station snack bar. The facilities could be improved, but there were fresh meats available.
